Happy New Year!

Don’t you love waiting for a package to arrive in the mail? It’s like Christmas day every time. Thanks to my wonderful husband, Christmas is coming to me in the form of Goodebox for the next few months! I couldn’t be more excited. And, here’s the first…

I was a little surprised by the size of the box, I always imagined it to be at least the size of an 8×10 piece of paper.  But, I didn’t let that discourage me– good thing There were big things hiding inside!

The box itself was, well, just a box.  But the pink tissue paper perked me up right away!  Next, I was greeted by the most glorious aroma. Lovely. Clean. Pure. I unwrapped the delicate tissue to find my goodies inside!

What to play with first?!?!

At first glance my new Della travel bag made my eyes dazzle.  Perfect for keeping my handful of treasures in one place! This vegan bag was made by talented men and women of Ghana, thank you to each one who put their craftsmanship into mine. It’s well made and adorable!

Let’s start with the product that’s been sending me such lovely, aromatic notes. Thank you, Soapbox! My first full-sized product is the black soap bar made from activated charcoal– which I’ve learned has some great health benefits, including pulling impurities from the skin. It’s blended with essential oils, which explains my oohing and awing over the oh so lovely scent. It’s not overwhelming, but it will scent an entire room, as much as a lit candle.  I plan to buy a few and put them throughout my home just so I can continue to enjoy the scent.  In the formula they’ve also included sea salt and shea butter to keep your skin exfoliated and moisturized while you get your skin-detoxing, aroma therapy! For every bar you purchase they’ll donate one bar of soap, vitamins or fresh water to a child in need. Also, join their mailing list and you’ll also receive 20% off your next purchase!I plan to use this as a body soap, but it seems to be intended for your face as well.

Appropriately, the next product to catch my eye was my new 5ml Eslor botanical peeling gel!

The Claims: Reduce shine? Refine pores? Soften my lines? Reduce dullness? Brighten my skin?

Yes, ppplease! And does it follow through? You betcha! Goes on smooth with a light citrus-y scent and never dries or feels tight! You simply rub it off after 5-10 minutes then rinse with water for buttery smooth skin.

I followed up with my generous sample sized Raspberry N Honey Face Mask by Zosimos Botanicals. The Rhassoul clay makes it look more like you’re painting milk chocolate on your face, which is fine with me! I can’t place the scent, but it is pleasant.  Knowing that this product was made in the USA in a 100% wind powered studio feels good, too.  Plus, Zosimos goes Beyond skincaremaking healthy mineral makeup as well, and they offer reasonable samples, for example this sample would cost you $5 and last you at least five or more uses.

The Claims: To cleanse, detox and add moisture and remove free-radicals!

Simply add water to a small portion of the powder to create a paste. This one does dry stiff, you almost feel it tightening everything up. You might not want to look in the mirror with this one, to laugh is pain!

Thank Goodebox for a facial oil.  I am almost out of my Josie Maran argan oil, and this Green Leaves and Co Organic Facial Oil by Earthwise Beauty came to my rescue! This has a consistency of coconut oil, so it may be anywhere between liquid and solid depending on the temperature.  If it’s solid, they suggest melting the oil on your fingertips before applying. Smooth, like silk! The light scent is in the name– Fresh green leaves.

The Claims: Heals and prevents acne breakouts in the gentlest of ways. Thyme acts as antimicrobial, rosemary regenerates skin cells and reverses wrinkles, clementine leaf regulates oil secretion and French Haute-Provence lavender plus violet leaf reverse signs of aging. Suggested for use all over your face or as a spot treatment.

My new routine wouldn’t be complete without Palmetto Derma Retinol & Peptide infused lifting eye cream!

The Claims: They’ve jam-packed this formula with an innovative formulation of peptides, plant oils, organic vitamins and minerals.  The advanced peptides of Matixl 3000 and Tripeptide-5, as well as ocean based retinol and fruit based glycollic acid to firm, repair and soothe fragile skin around the eye.  Oils and organic vitamins and minerals leave your eye area soft and hydrated. Made in the USA! Another bonus to supporting this company is that 1% of sales is donated  to breast cancer awareness.

They say this can be used just about anywhere. Though for the price I’ll save this my delicate eye area, I am excited that a little goes a long way and I expect this sample to last at least though the end of the month. Sign up with your email address and they’ll send 20% off to your inbox!

But, wait! There’s more in my Goodebox!  Remember the greeting card that began this whole shenanigan? There is also one for each of the products I received.  One side has a picture of the full size product and the backside has a description of the product as well as it’s intent for use.   Quite convenient!  And another little secret about the card at the top of this page…  The flip-side is loaded with my member offers! 20% off ALL products from ALL companies listed in this post! Score!!! I’d love to share the promo’s but I wouldn’t dare the risk of losing my membership!

I couldn’t be more satisfied with my new products.  Each one has delivered more than I expected.  I’m already impressed with the results, but check back toward the end of the month to find out if I am still in love with each of these products then. I’m off to play!
