My sensitive skin recently turned from oily to dry, giving me the opportunity to look for the perfect sunscreen all over again! Along the way I tested these four great products. All of them wear beautifully under makeup, none of them give you the classic white or pink cast, and they’re all unique– One of them is bound to be perfectly suited for your skin type! Get ready to fall in love with keeping your skin protected!!!
Devita Solar Protective Moisturizer SPF 30+
Their boast:

My take:
Devita glides on leaving you with a smooth, matte finish. If your skin leans toward the oily side or if you prefer the no-shine look, this is for you! This acts not only as sun protection, but as a great primer, too. All skin types can benefit from this one, but if you prefer a moisturizing sun protection, look further to find your match.
Best for: All skin types, especially oily or anyone seeking a matte finish
Mychelle Replenishing Solar defense SPF 30
Their boast:

My take:
Ready for a nice dewy finish? After a few minutes this sinks in leaving your skin moisturized, touchable, and glowing. The heaviest product of the bunch, but not to be ruled out! This is my favorite of the moment. Apply this one over a moisturizer for the smoothest application on dry skin. If my skin were oily I’d be able to bypass the extra moisture and stick to this SPF alone, but until then I’ll be layering this on top of my Josie Maran argan oil.
Here’s a little trick I learned to seamlessly layer this product, or any liquid, underneath powder foundation. After applying your lotions, lightly dust your powder foundation all over with a large fluffy brush to add a sheer barrier. Now you can apply your powder foundation as flawless as you’re used to! My go-to mineral foundation is by Faerie Organics, in light. An amazing product and definitely worth a quick Google search.

Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47

My take:
This SPF goes on like a moisturizing, sheer lotion. The consistency is more liquid-y than the other brands listed here and melts right into your skin, leaving you youthful and glowing. If your skin is dehydrated, this product may be just what you’ve been waiting for . When I first tried this out my skin was on the oily side and this was more moisture than I needed, my t-zone never got a break from the shine with this one. Now, with dry skin I would be happy to splurge. Bring on the moisture!

Juice Beauty organics SPF 30 Tinted Mineral Moisturizer

My take:
A very sheer tinted moisturizer that offers just enough color to even things up leaving you with a dewy finish. It feels luxuriously moisturizing and leaves your skin looking radiant. I tested the color ivory first. It was extremely light in color, almost pasty. I went with sand, a warmer hue, that blended well into my warm skin tone and kept true to color– didn’t orange through the day like similar products I have tried. It’s worth mentioning that there really isn’t any coverage in this. The scent on this one is like pine trees, not my favorite, but what really pushed me away was my sensitive skin reaction. After two days, and many irritated, painful pimples, I learned my lesson– typical reaction for my skin when it disagrees with something it doesn’t like. The next week, after my skin calmed down, I tried it again. No Bueno. I have ridiculously sensitive skin. I really wanted this to be love, but I’m glad I found a few great alternatives.
